Where does Drops of Mercy operate?
We operate both internationally and within the UK. Our projects reach some of the world’s most vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities, while also supporting eligible individuals and families locally through initiatives such as Local Zakat.
How are donations used?
Donations are used to fund charitable projects including food distribution, clean water, education, healthcare, shelter, and emergency relief. We strive to use funds responsibly and efficiently to maximise impact while maintaining transparency and accountability.
Is my Zakat donation eligible?
Yes, where specified. Donations made towards Zakat-designated appeals are distributed strictly in accordance with Islamic principles to eligible recipients. We clearly label Zakat-eligible funds to ensure compliance and donor confidence.
What is the difference between Zakat and Sadaqah?
Zakat is an obligatory form of charity with specific eligibility rules, while Sadaqah is voluntary charity that can be given at any time and in any amount. Sadaqah can be used for a wider range of charitable causes.
